    Afternoon denizens

Rather Simpsonesque out, though there's also predictions of showers shortly. Currently 13°C which is as good as it'll get, and the barometers are down a tiny amount at 976/983mB

Was going to go to the village hall to a "Light Party" listed in the Chronicle. Good thing I Googled it before I went up, it's a kids' thing. Old Jimmy Saville looking sorts would not be welcome.

Tea today has been achieved via the medium of KFC delivery

Very little achieved today, not that I had set out to do much so it's been a decent day overall.

          Much rain off and on.

Noticed there's more Trucking Hell to watch.

Watched a fillum - The Midnight Sky (2020) - which was ok.

Also watched lots of Dr Pimplepopper.

Don't forget the clocks go back this evening.

Lots of wildlife stuff on this afternoon. Later, I watched a thing about the Herald of Free Enterprise followed by a thing about the battle of Midway.

And then I read a bit more of The Possessors

Getting an early night now, to make the most of the hour we get back after it was stolen from us in spring

            Goodnight all

              Morning all
Went to a pop-up restaurant last night in a coffee shop (not a chain, a privately owned one). BYOB, and a set menu. Very tasty.

Grump. Not sure if to go on village group walk later, 2hrs too long for me, like 45m to an 1 1/4hr a day.

                  Morning denizens

Sunny start out; currently 10°C and aiming for 13°. There may be drizzle around teatime, though that'll be after dark now, of course. The barometers are down a little bit more at 974/982mB

I may see about setting the clock on the oven, but then again, it's been wrong since I moved here, so it's only ever been a question of whether it's wrong in GMT or BST

Wet, currently bright but showers ever present all morning. Currently 12 degrees and it might get up to 13 briefly. Barometer down to 990 mBar.

Much rain overnight which resulted in my little "greenhouse" toppling over and my chilli plants getting tipped out of their container. I say greenhouse but it's really just clear plastic draped over a basic frame and has zero structural integrity. I only covered the chillies with it because I was hoping it would help generate enough warmth to ripen up the remaining fruits. The plants have started to reflower too which is a tad annoying. Anyway, the frame has been removed, the wet dirt scooped up, plants still ok and I'll decide later what to do with them.

                    Off to see Mum today.
