Just back from usual slow walk with loony lady 1. Rather a gray day but not rainy.
Was looking at trying to get travel distance from my place after clicking on my mappy thing, complicated and not free, then found an easy work round. Get the lat,lon on click then just open in new tab ht...

"A 10 minute search, clicking on everything that mentioned 'free', didn't reveal anything that was completely free"
Same here. Probably best so far for small companies is tinytax, £49. Just for submissions, I can still use my Excel accounts sheets to do the calculations. I didn't...

Cheers NAT, not sure what is free, info all a bit conflicting but I'll have to look at it. Dunno why HMRC can't provide a simple website for small companies....Last edited by xoggoth; 5 March 2026, 20:30.

Another annoying thing if you have a business website. Still, not as annoying as bluddy HMRC forcing us to use purchased software to do CT and Companies House submissions! My Excel sheets worked nicely.

Nice sunny and warmish walk after my arty farty thing. Had to give a lift there to a lady (not on loony lady list) I know as she has broken her toe and ankle. Second fracture she's had in 6 months, old ladies get very fragile....

I get some wierd dreams. Last night was about a lot of us doing something with the cooling systems on our cars which were connected to the mains supply. Bit of a flaw with that.
Not sure I'll go to village club later, people I know don't seem to be there recently. Heard one was ill but...

Old fart Mahjong at local cafe this morning, I won again. Wondering if to bother going shopping today, hate boring shopping, wish I had a butler to do it for me. Just done Wordle in 2 goes, lucky day.

Old arty farty thing this morning, took along what art magazines I could rescue from the damp after me neighbour left them for me in the wrong place. Walky afterwards, what a lovely sunny and quite warm afternoon! Stopped in at little cafe with nice view and had a a chat with a nice youngish lady.

Damn it! Should have done my wet walk later, it's been quite nice and bright for nearly an hour. Dropped in at village club, none of the people I know were there again, not sure I'll bother anymore.

Hmmm. Didn't think SPs would be worth it as my house is overshadowed by the big Victorian house next door but maybe worth a new look.

Planned walky today ruined due to yet another road closure. Gonna be a long route round to get to my arty farty thing tomorrow. Roads are just awful here, potholes, great deep ruts along the edges in narrow places, huge ponds.

Yeh, happy B day LM. Much better to be 60 than not far off from 80.
