A whole 5 today going up to 10 tonight. Would be good if not for 100% heavy rain. Monday meetup has been moved to Tuesday when I 've got me arty thing, so nowt to do for 2 days, apart from drink at village club maybe. Mostly just me and me puppet parrot.

Saw an odd white trail across my lawn, turned out to be feathers. Went up the garden and saw a pigeon wandering about, looked fine but clearly unable to fly. Darn cat maybe. Got me oil tank topped up. Anyway, ll1 bit later.

Quite good little local talk from a lady who's spent her life rescuing elephants and things, followed by boring shopping. LL1 walk tomorrow.

Yeh. Needed a chainsaw fixing a few months back and neighbour told me about a bloke up the road who did such things. Took it up to him and about 20 mins later he came back with it fixed and said he didn't want paying. I brought him a bottle of wine anyway....

When I was young I drove like a total loony, going fast and overtaking all the time.

Ran ghastly old ll3 to a U3A talk about sheep or something, didn't stay for the talk meself, I'm not a fan of sitting for ages listening to stuff, so went for walk and picked her up before a mince pie and tea. Usual nice old ladies I know there, just 1 bloke I'm acquainted with.

You don't need to remember, Google does it for you. I still like messing about with code, mostly just website stuff, php, jscript etc and Excel VBA....

Glad me few remaining brain cells don't have to deal with such complex problems anymore NF. Still trying to figure out how me mappy thing is about 15 x 5 pixels off.

Oh maybe I'll post it. If NAT bans me I shall blame you.

Been cleaning up in garage before visit by boiler service bloke tomorrow. Funny how tedious jobs like that cheer you up, was feeling distinctly grumpy earlier.
Left the outside tap dripping a bit last night and it has formed an icicle pointing up from the ground that looks just like a bloke's...Last edited by xoggoth; 4 January 2026, 14:25.

Annoying last night, forgot to keep an eye on the cheap kettle in me bedroom I use for me water bottle and it boiled over, triggering the RCD in the garage and all the lights went out. Clearly the bit of plastic I put over the switch to stop water getting in didn't work.
Freezy walk with...Last edited by xoggoth; 3 January 2026, 11:30.

Went to a brilliant Glow Wild thing yesterday evening with ll3. Downside was her, she kept fiddling with my car radio and switched channels to FM instead of DAB although I asked her to stop. Don't think I can take much more of her.
PS Why do I sometimes see a brief yellow bar at top with...

My bro in law's missus has had a knee op. Went well and she's nearly back to normal now.
