^Weather forecasts for the same area seem to differ by source, nearly always pessimistic too, usually nicer than it's supposed to be.

Volunteery thing at local nature reserve this morning, trundling wheelbarrows full of mulch. Pure coincidence I was behind a youngish big bummed lady wearing thin lycra on a few occasions.

Nice sunny circular work with younger, not loony, lady followed by cuppa tea and small apple pie with cream at my dump. No unavoidable mud at long last.

If only! The light bulb was in the bathroom but she did invite me into her bedroom afterwards. To turn the mattress!!!! Bah!
Nice sunny Bluebelly walk anyway....

Nice old fart coffee morning at local historic place this morning. Got me, a bit, out of me brain fog after a cr**y night's sleep. Off to Bluebell walk with loony lady 1 soon. She expects me to replace her light bulb afterwards. Grumble.

Been fixing loose panes on me wooden greenhouse. Took over an hour to do two because distorted wood meant the slots were out of line, had to align them with clamps and bungee cords. Off to wander with loony lady 1 soon.
PS Got me Viz. Not as good as used to be, Drunken Bakers and that Foody...

Went to wildlife centre with ll4 this afternoon, lots of things we were supposed to see, red squirrels, grasssnakes etc, didn't see a single one. Short walky after latte and flapjack at cafe.
Wish I could come up with another programming project, can't think of anything more to do with...

Took loony lady 3 to Sainsburies morning. Just about to drive off when a bloke waved and said she's left her stick. Then, when we had set off, she said she must have dropped her gloves at the ATM so had to drive all the way back only to dicover they were in her bag. The umpteenth time I've had to drive...

Busy day. Woodland volunteer thing this morning, didn't really do much, long walk to place where we were supposed to be removing bracken and there wasn't any there. Afternoon with loony lady 1. Little history group party this evening at local 15th century place, nice except flipping cold.

Very low this morning after grotty night's sleep but went for a local walk round a Rudolf Steiner sort of new age community place, really nice, then stopped for latte at local cafe where there were a couple of people I know. Feeling much better mood now.

Just had another scam call from somebody claiming to be a police officer calling about a person in custody with my surname. Wasn't anybody I knew, suprised they didn't get hold of a real relative's name, may have been a bit more convincing.

Mahjongy thing this morning. Toothpaste inspection later followed by boring shopping. Need some reading glasses, having lost yet another pair somewhere. Poundland sell 3 pairs of glasses for 6 quid, seem just as good as ones from Boots etc that cost hundreds each.Last edited by xoggoth; 26 March 2026, 09:28.

Little "book reading", aka nattering group this afternoon. As usual I had not got round to reading anything. Nice walk after, just after a deluge of hail.

Just back from just under 2 hour walk doing a toothpaste, I mean footpath, inspection for council. Now got to get photos and GPS tracks off me phone, and put me notes in a spreadsheet before I forget what my illegible scrawls mean. Glad I didn't volunteer to do as much as I did last year.
