Walk briskly walked, green ring closed

I took the alternative slightly shorter route today, as the watch had deigned to give me a few minutes of credit for the shopping expedition

Quite mild out; no nasty breezes today

    Must get the mundane laundry...

I hadn't used the car at all since it was fixed and it's been a week, so I thought I'd just give it a quick run down to Sainsbury's. Not that I really needed anything much

I returned with seven bags of shopping

Still, a lot of it was stuff like bin liners and...

    Morning denizens

Grey day, but it'll be a bit warmer as a result: it's up to 3°C already from 2° about thirty minutes ago, and will soar to as much as 6° by lunchtime or early afternoon. The barometers continue high at 1031/1039mB

The bin has been popped out...

After Digging for Britain, I watched the second episode of Blå ögon, Tusen nålstick (TV Episode 2014). Still not sure about this one; it doesn't really have any kind of hook going for it

And then an Air Crash Investigation, in which we learn that packing a shedload of canisters...

Tea has been spag bol. Delicious

Thanks for the reminder - I kept meaning to start on that and then forgetting

So S9E1 of that has been started whilst dining, and will now continue ...

It was indeed a little chilly, enough so that I put my wooly hat on about a third of the way in

Annoyingly, the Amazon Locker delivery that I could have made a trivial detour for at the end arrived about five minutes after...

Lunch: the last of the not-as-good-as-usual Scotch broth from a few weeks back, with the last crust of multiseed bread and a thick crust of wholemeal

Still pleasant-looking out but only 4°C. Suppose I ought to go for my walk at some point, even so

    Morning denizens

Sunny day but frosty with it, though a triangular area of the outbuilding roof has now been reached by the sun and thawed. Currently 2°C, which isn't a lot but we're only going to get to 4° before it starts cooling down again; barometers are back up high at 1030/1037...

Telly whilst dining was more of that thing with Trading Standards raiding places selling fake trainers and so on. Not very interesting, but it's something to ignore whilst eating

    And then a bit of a Gomorrah-fest: S1E3 L'omm 'e casa (TV Episode 2014); S1E4 Sangue africano (TV...

My Dad is home from the hospital

Turns out what they thought was a slow heartbeat is more complicated than that. At the GP's they reckoned it was about 32, and at home on the blood pressure thingy it thought the same, and in triage at A&E the same, which at least got him fast-tracked...

Sounds like my Dad might need a pacemaker. Turns out they're pretty straightforward to install these days - local anaesthetic, and often home the same day

Sunny now, but there was a nasty bitter breeze in my face at the start. I think I'd prefer it coming from the other direction so it's in my face at the end, when I've warmed up
