Tonight's viewing was yet another new Police Interceptors
And later, after some mucking around with some Swift stuff that doesn't work the way I'd expect it to work (and thus doesn't work, or not for me), I read some more Jeffrey Bernard
Thursday tomorrow!...

I hadn't made the mango-chutney-based BBQ sauce for some time, but I finally got around to it so tea has been ribs and chips
There are banging noises coming from upstairs!
It had been on the market since before I moved in but sold earlier this year, as I recall....

Another day done
Not sure if it's cheating, but the daily quota of exercise was achieved on the exercise bike in three short goes spread out through the day. Each of them got my heart rate up for a few minutes, so they ought to have done some good

Lunch: cajun chicken breast in a wholemeal bap with a bag of plain crisps
Sunny out, but still chilly I reckon

Morning denizens
Some bands of low cloud on the horizon but also plenty of clear areas of sky, leading to a chilly start at -1°C. It's going to be sunny, but despite that it's not expected to get any warmer than 2°C. The barometers are up a bit though: 996/1005mB

Read some more of Lying for Money, about Charles Ponzi and a number of other schemes that went to pot in the same kind of way as his
Quite tired again tonight. I reckon it's the work being so boring that does it - spending all day never really getting started means it's easier to...

Tea has been a pork cutlet with chips and beans
This was accompanied by the most recent episode of the Gloucestershire night policing thing
My diligent viewing thereof over four series was finally rewarded by an excellent view of the place where I used to...

Having taken fifteen minutes or so to rearrange some of thejunkvaluable artefacts in the study, I've managed to liberate the exercise bike from where it's been trapped ever since it was moved over here. So I don't have to go out for a walk for the sake of exercise on what promises to be a very chilly...

Snow!
Not a huge amount here; maybe a half-inch to an inch. But it's real, and it's sticking on the cars and lawns and roofs, albeit not to our drive
It's currently 1°C ("feels like" -5°) with an expected high of 3°...

Tonight's reading was a bit more of Jeffrey Bernard.
And enough people I follow have left Twitter for Bluesky in the last few days that it's becoming a viable alternative. It's very much like Twitter used to be years ago, with little in the way of trolls and no algorithm to drive engagement...

Tea has been the remaining KFC leftovers
Accompanied by a new Police Interceptors
I'm feeling very tired this evening. Could be the weather, or maybe I didn't sleep too well last night

The rain arrived on schedule and is still here, also as scheduled. But I chose to ignore it and went for my walk, incorporating a visit to the pharmacy to collect the monthly prescription

Lunch was leftover snacky bits from KFC - hot wings and so on - with lashings of ketchup
It's been variable here but turned rather gloomy in a final sort of way now. The rain seems likely to arrive around sunset

Morning denizens
It looked like being a bright sunrise with nice orange hues gilding the eastern sky but by the time the sun had heaved itself over the horizon, the low fingers of cloud stretching across the sky seem to have clumped together a little, so it's fairly bright out but...

Lots of Monkey Life this morning, though the Canadian border stuff later was old and largely ignored. This evening I watched the latest episode of Ambulance, and then part one of the C4 thing about Jean Charles de Menezes
Later, I read a bit more of Lying for Money and also some...
