A fry up for Friday's evening meal, now a roast dinner for Saturday's. I'm sure the enemy is trying to mess with my sense of what day it is. No wonder dementia sets in when you're retired.

Thanks to NF's suggestion, I have made a cherry and almond cake.

Will see if that's more successful than last weekend's chocolate cake.

Mrs BP made a pineapple upside down cake a few days ago.

Entertainment: Civilisation E8, which was a bit better being about Northern Europe rather than fecking Italy, so sans the fecking religious howling that takes over much of the previous episodes.

Up Pompeii S II E IV, amusing enough though the lack of Willy Rushton and Max Adrian is a disappointment.

Thing on BBC4 about Australian cinema had skin shots of Jenny Agutter all totally tasteful of course.

I’ve only just turned 50!

As a result of said scan, I may need to have “a procedure”.

By next week, I suspect I might “have had a fall”.

I’m getting old. I can’t even hit a rat at 50 yards with a head torch and a lot of margaritas, tequila beer and wine put away.

I don’t even know where the rat got the torch and booze from.
