    Morning all

WFH this morning. Just want to try and fathom something in Power BI so I can feel like I'm not a complete luddite. I know what I want from the report I'm building, just don't know the platform well enough to make it work.

Sadly, I could knock it up in Excel in about half an hour but that's not the strategic way forward

Yep the Power Platform is the future.

Power Apps is the Visual Basic (and Access) of the future
Power Automate / MS Flow is the Macros of the future
Power BI is the SSRS / Excel of the future.

That looks interesting. Do I just have to say "Cortana, program me a..." ?

              Fire lit in the office.

Guineas upset and noisy that I went outside and didn't say hello to them, instead I gathered an armful of logs from the top wood store and brought them in.

              Getting warm in here now.

                  Morning denizens

Bit of sunshine creeping through out there. The temperature’s up to a dizzying 7°C too, so not too bad for the time of year I suppose

                    Grrr... Amazon deliveries.

Sunday: Ordered with free delivery. "Your parcel will be delivered on Saturday 4th - Monday 6th." (new strap for watch & light bulbs)
10 mins ago: Your parcel is out for delivery today.

Also ordered Sunday from Amazon: Shaving stand. "Your parcel will be delivered on Thursday 2nd - Friday 6th." No update on it yet

Two other parcels ordered on Sunday - one is due in the next 2 hours. The other was from a UK company, claiming UK stock. (Inline skate wheels to replace the wheels on a Samsonite case). Update from last night to say the stock had been picked in Mechelen. Who knows when that will arrive.

And to add to that, one of the logs I put on the burner and it's spat out a load of gunk all over the clean glass.
