Originally posted by dsc View PostSo earlier on today Israel bombed the Rafah crossing where there's a tulip ton of civilians waiting to get into Egypt. How is this not a bloody war crime? Even with Hamas hiding in between civilians, you don't just bloody bomb the lot. Russians did a lot of similar tulipe in Ukraine and were automatically called out, why the hell there's pretty much no reaction here? (apart from maybe UN, which already criticised the 24hr deadline for fleeing Gaza).
Although having watched the Rafah video you do so an object before explosion. No injuries though? IDF took responsibility for previous strikes at the gate, so I'll be surprised if they didn't claim this one eventually. The munitions IDF are currently using do not miss, they are not dumb bombs,Comment

Maybe they do sometimes. Same as Ukraine's. Why Ukraine’s GPS-Guided Bombs Keep Missing Their Targets (popularmechanics.com)
Russian GPS jamming in Syria, meant to protect military bases, creates service disruptions as far away as Turkey, Lebanon, Israel, and Cyprus. But I discovered nothing else but depraved, excessive superstition. Pliny the youngerComment

In the same vein I am seeing 'reports' of Israel bombing Lebanon, Damascus and Egypt, as well as Rafah. They can't all be true (cos Israel is angry not mad) but the reports all have the same legitimacy (hearsay).See You Next TuesdayComment

The Israelis are not stupid they record and analyse everything.
They want to get the civilians out and kill every last Hamas disciple. Frankly I suspect most western countries understand.
One hopes the Israelis have set off the credit commandos to track the funding and drop each major donor off at the Hague for trial dead or alive.Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.Comment

As for the veracity of reporting, Hamas and friends are also the source of a lot of those reports so they may not be particularly trustworthy. For one thing, their casualty figures for deaths within Gaza do not distinguish between civilians and Hamas troops hiding behind them.Blog? What blog...?Comment
