Dan Wheatcroft - the leveller series.
The second in the series is a free ebook. So I read that first and then paid for the other two. Quite good but a bit hard to follow.

In the end I used half a dried carolina reaper (chopped), plus a whole dried scotch bonnet (chopped), plus 5 crushed dried birdseye.
Worked nicely. Pretty hot, but not overpowering. Very tasty.

You'll love this. As a British citizen living abroad, I only had (it's changed now) to make class 2 contributions. About £200 a year, to keep my full contributions. Now it's about £1000, as the government changed the rules so it must be class 3. We've kept up our contributions, so when we retire,...

I just put a few hundred quid into the stock market every month. The volatility smooths out the longer you hold them. Occasionally I sell the really poorly performing shares and try something else.
In the past 10 years, my returns so far have been equivalent to 7%. I did make some very...

Aw. Bless.
I asked my French boss when I was working in France for a reference. He looked at me.
- Are you a domestic worker?
- No...
- Well, I like you. You write it, I'll sign it.
In France references were only used for domestic workers. Servant....

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn repeatedly urged people living under a corrupt authoritarian regime not to collaborate—especially not by serving as judges, prosecutors, interrogators, or bureaucrats who enable oppression.
Navalny encouraged the same. Btw, I recommend his autobiography. Surprisingly...

Somebody born in ‘33 was 45 in ‘78.
That's gotta be some sort of record.

I also prefer to find the best person. But I can see that if perhaps the ad discourages certain sectors to apply (because instead of 20% <insert sector here> applying it's 0%), I might not get the best person. Pragmatism rules of course - and if there person you get is 99% as good as the best...

I think the idea is to see if there is any systematic bias in the selection process.
If 50% of applicants come from men, and only 10% of interviewers are male and only 1% of those successful at interview are men that might indicate some kind of bias against men. That kind of stuff....

You need to tell him. He tells NSVS. Then everything is fine. For SC honesty is key.
