I did have one agent try something similar to me, getting all threatening etc. A few years later I was a hiring manager and got a call from them. "Sorry", I said, "I don't do business with agents who threaten their contractors".

When I needed pain relief they were going to give me morphine - but that makes me sick. So I got pethidine instead. It made me giggle....

My wife didn't get on with it either. With our first child, she was given heroin... it was quite new at the time to use diamorphine. She really didn't like that either....

So, you agree that your statement was wrong: you can't do it for the legal 3 months as a tourist. And if you get caught, you're liable to be deported and banned from the Schengen area for a few years. If you're happy to take that risk, go for it.
