Remember also that the recruitment and "consultancy" sectors traditionally have carried the largest fees in terms of factoring! There is a reason for this. Its very hard for the factor to get the invoices paid from these peoples clients!...

To be fair similar has happened previously. You would send a cv to a particular agent who not to put too fine a point on it had failed his KS1 reading, writing, maths and phonics (probably didnt even go to school after KS1! and his english and common sense GCSE's. There were a lot of them out there...

About 10/11 years ago I spent a little time in recruitment. Most audacious CV I ever received was 2 words apart from the guy's name and those words were "Google Me" in size 30 ish font!
I never placed him and i'm not sure anyone else did either! But if he got a job from it then it worked....

I suspect your retirement was quite a lot a later in life than mine for a start so hardly comparable.
One thing I also found out early on is that if you don't want to get caught up in IR35 you must find business models that IR35 does not apply to.

Just fired up LM Studio on my "stay at home laptop". I tried the default "Google Gemma" and used some stuff with it that I previously put through Chat GPT and it was rubbish at it. I am going to try some other LLMs as I would quite like one on my webserver and hopefully can say more...

Probably doesn't help much but I get similar mainly with Netflix. Very intermittent though. Haven't seen it in about a month either.
I normally put it down to the ropiness of my provider (BT)
My devices are Win11 or Android. No VPN.

IMHO only.
Not financial advice, you should have an accountant and a lawyer and they should be very good ones.
The only reason I would personally use these shares is for voting rights alone.
YMMV

Ok, I have taken a little time to look at this. (I'm juggling several bin lids at the moment, so nice to get a little change).
Normally I would stay out of this.
I'm fairly ambivalent about Nationwide even though a member/low key customer (accounts get very little use).
Nationwide...
