I didn't call them Nazis. Palestinians have been radicalised the same way Germans were radicalised by the Nazis.

Sniper training recommends shooting centre mass or headshots. Mainly because that is most likely to achieve a kill or incapacitation.

The IDF have made a conscious effort to kill fewer Palestinians when they are attacked by them. The reaction is the IDF are crippling more Palestinian militants.

If being attacked with Molotov cocktails knowing some of the Palestinians throwing stuff could have firearms would you have the restraint to shoot at the legs?

Some of those he photographed acknowledged throwing stones toward Israeli troops during the demonstrations. One said he had hurled a firebomb. But others claimed they were unarmed bystanders; one paramedic said he was helping rescue the wounded, while another man said he was waving a Palestinian flag and another said he was selling coffee and tea.

GAZA CITY, Gaza (AP) — Israeli forces deployed along the volatile border with the Gaza Strip have fired live rounds at rock-throwing Palestinian protesters ever since demonstrations against Israel’s long-running blockade of Gaza began in March.

And for eight months, Israeli snipers have targeted one part of the body more than any other — the legs.

The Israeli army says it is responding to weekly assaults on its frontier by Palestinians armed with stones, grenades and firebombs. The military says it opens fire only as a last resort, and considers firing at the lower limbs an act of restraint.

Still, 175 Palestinians have been shot to death, according to an Associated Press count. And the number of wounded has reached colossal proportions.

Of the 10,511 protesters treated at hospitals and field clinics in Gaza so far, at least 6,392, or roughly 60 percent, have been struck in the lower limbs, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry. At least 5,884 of those casualties were hit by live ammunition; others have been hit by rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters.
I may not be smart at propaganda but I recognise it when I see it.

        Couple of points:

JustKeepSwimming did not say the Palestinian civilians are nazis. He says they've been radicalised by Hamas rule and indoctrination, in the same way the Nazi's radicalised large numbers of Germans.

And you are implying that the IDF are the "real nazis" in this situation.
I was equally horrified by the story that began with an IDF soldier telling a CNN reporter that babies had been beheaded: that reporter, Sara Sidner, has now apologised and confirmed the story was unverified.
But was has been verified and I've seen the photographs is that at least one baby died riddled with bullets. Does that not horrify you?

No one here is baying for civilian Palestinian blood. The western public are not baying for civilian Palestinian blood. That's not even hyperbole - it's just plain untrue.

including forced compliance because of divide & rule threats just like many German people were.

Most people feel for the innocent Palestinians.

As the Israeli ambassador to Britain said:

The barbaric massacre that Hamas committed on young children. Erased families, executed children in front of their parents, executed parents and children together. Those types of horrors remind many, many Israelis [of] Nazis during the Holocaust.
So yes. Hamas are like the Nazis. But only an idiot would accuse the West of conflating Hamas with the Palestinian people.

This does seem to be the case.
              So what is the solution?
In the case of Nazi Germany the solution was to invade the country, take over the running of its domestic infrastructure, and embark on a thorough denazification process among the civilian population, to turn their minds back towards "regular" politics.
But while the first two would probably be achievable by Israel, the third might be more difficult perhaps. Because the Nazi ideology was political, but the islamist ideology is religious, built on the foundation of the Islamic religion. Could the latter be harder to shift than the former, given the depth of the soul to which religions tend to penetrate compared to politics.

well yes I suppose you are right in that the people of Gaza are indoctrinated and the kids taught - to want to kill jews - not just israelis.
They would not have stopped at 1,000 Israelis and would have gone through the whole country
And of course not stopped there as there constitution calls for the destruction of Israel, kill jews globally and "jihad" and rejection of any peace negotiations.

As always alot of people are naturally defined by their upbringing and education and environment.
So it is a sad ongoing cycle especially when Hamas have run Gaza for so many years.

Easy to forget sometimes that we're all the same species.

What would it take to unite the entire human race? A hostile alien invasion from outer space?

Probably not. No doubt some feckers would side with the aliens if it meant there was a chance of wiping out their human enemies.

And then go back to our internecine rivalry once the southern shandy drinkers had been taught the errors of their ways.
