It would. They are more likely to blockade the tunnel entrances. They've not been knocking down buildings for fun, they are aiming to close off Hamas's access to their underground areas; or trap them inside.Originally posted by BlueSharp View Post

Gas, aka chemical weapons, are like nuclear weapons. People have an irrational and unfounded aversion to any use.Originally posted by BlueSharp View Post

They aren't going to use nerve agents, but there are less lethal gases that can be used to clear the tunnels.Comment

The other day I read something about expanding sponge bombs that the Israelis had been seen using in training that they could use to seal off the tunnels without the risk of collapse. I guess it's something similar to expanding foam.Originally posted by malvolio View Post

and how many are innocents killed by HAMAS?Originally posted by malvolio View Post
He can't. Not until he better understands what Hamas is trying to do, and has been doing for at least 20 years. The other missing factor in this ongoing debate is that the casualty figures are coming from Hamas; what they are not saying is how many are combatants, how many are genuine civilians and, come to that, how many don't actually exist.

I suspect it will be bunker busters or toppling rubble over the entrances.Comment

Sorry, your source is an Israeli newspaper quoting an IDF commander, and you take it as 100% true?Originally posted by BlueSharp View Post
Is that the same source you used when you made the false claim that the UN had never said anything about the despicable attack on 7th October by Hamas?…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

There is no doubt the tunnels are extensive 500 km long, The must be under something as Gaza is 40*10 km.Originally posted by WTFH View Post

Even though Israel has invested heavily in tunnel detection - including a sensor-equipped underground barrier it called an "iron wall" - Hamas is still thought to have working tunnels to the outside world.
After the last round of hostilities in 2021, Hamas's leader in Gaza, Yehya Al-Sinwar, said: "They started saying they destroyed 100kms of Hamas tunnels. I am telling you, the tunnels we have in the Gaza Strip exceed 500kms. Even if their narrative is true, they only destroyed 20% of the tunnels."Comment
