Your point is? Any loss of life is horrific. Perhaps Hamas should try non-violent methods to achieve its political aims if faced with a vastly superior army that has invested heavily in defence. Hamas stated this round of violence with the massacre and our now paying the consequences. F**k around and find out what comes to mind.Make Mercia Great Again!Comment

The UN is not an unbiased source. It is fundamentally a political organisation. Repeated condemnations on how the UK treats disabled people but says absolutely nothing on China?
Not saying everything they report is wrong or bias, but they shouldn't be treated as a top trump source that some claim.
The UN seems to have done what most of the news agencies have done, hired Gazan locals to be reporters/investigators, which is a little sus.Comment

Israel has being trying to make Gaza work, despite repeated military provocations they encouraged elections, a two party state, provided power, water & food. Hamas didn't come to the table.Originally posted by BlueSharp View Post

My point is half of the deaths are due to rockets being fired from population centres many of which failed. Hamas have a history of lobbing rockets at civilian targets, Israel follow the rockets trajectory back and blow up the Hamas terrorists, sadly where HAMAS fire from is hidden behind civilians.
Sadly I think the Palestinian people are about to find out what Israel are going to do. I suspect it will be bomb all Hamas strongholds to rubble and anyone left behind will be wiped out in the crossfire.
The UN & AI present the Israelis as the aggressor. The Israelis arrested a known terrorist, Hamas set up underneath a population centre and lobbed rockets at civilian targets, the Israeli's responded and the UN & AI accuse them of being the aggressors.

They call Israel an apartheid state. Which is quite rude and not accurate.
Israeli Arabs vote, work and have equal rights with all Israeli citizens. Israel is an imperfect democracy that is far better in every way than the Hamas dictatorship.
If the Palestinian Arabs had wanted to live in peace they could have become Israeli citizens years ago.
And yes I know about self-determination and they should have their own state if they want, but they have rejected that repeatedly. All they (collective they) want is extermination of jews. Palestine would still be a total smeghole if Israel had been wiped from the map in 1967.See You Next TuesdayComment

Head of AI Finland, provably antisemitic.
Campaign manager of AI UK, provably antisemitic, twice. (As well as the wider AI UK)
Head of AI US, provably antisemitic.
On top of other AI leadership making public comments without any evidence showing a clear bias. Very similar to the bigots recently who demand evidence of every claim Israel makes (only to dismiss as fake) and never any from Hamas.
Like I said, certain people, like to hold up these holier than thou NGOs as moral arbiters solely because their bias backs up their own. It's an appeal to authority.
Just last year AI tried to blame Ukraine for endangering civilians by fighting in areas populated by civilians. Those areas? ******* Ukrainian cities invaded and occupied by Russia.Last edited by JustKeepSwimming; 26 October 2023, 20:43.Comment

It looks like the US fired shots across the bows of Iran last night in self defence following the Iranian backed attackes on its military bases. If the F-16 can fly undetected and bomb a weapons store thats quite a warning shot.
The status quo won't be returned to following the massacre and it was telling the the Hamas guy interviewed last night by the BBC had to walk out rather than answering the questions about it.
Israel will reduce Gaza City to rubble in its pursuit for the destruction of Hamas much like Britain did to Berlin, or Russia to Bakhmut.
