It's minimum wage - so I don't think it matters who it is.

Curo really is a strange firm, they seem to qualify themselves for a lot of end clients and then completely screw up the recruitment side of things.

No phone number listed. Call it with 141 before the number, to withhold your phone number, and ask to speak to the agent. If they don't answer, complain about the rate and make it clear you're not happy. I've seen adverts get withdrawn after a backlash. Nobody with SC should be working for what is essentially minimum wage work like this. Minimum wage is the lowest legal pay a company can get away with, so work that requires no brain power. This role at least requires some brain power and the agency Curo taking a bigger cut to drive down the rate is what is happening here. They are infamous for this.

It's primarily a data entry role maintaining a CMDB on the face of it. so no real technical skills needed, but they may be handling stuff related to systems using sensitive or secret data (IP addresses, access points, whatever) so SC is actually necessary. That said, surely supervision can be provided until clearance comes through; this is not a Ministry after all.

                Still a rubbish job though...

You were probably rejected for one or more of these reasons:
                  • you think you're better than they think you are
                  • you're actually better than they need for the money they can afford and you or they misjudged your skill match to the requirement
                  • you're out of touch with what the market is paying for your level of "top talent"
                  • they already have another candidate, possibly internal, and are going through the motions
                  • they're complete idiots who have no idea what they're doing and prefer pissing champagne up the wall and changing tyres
I've never attended an interview where I didn't already have a good idea of the rate or package on offer, did you not find this out first?

I suspect a lot of outside contracts don't get advertised anymore.
