The issue was you didn't use the reply function to reply to Eek. Had you done so, the context would have been crystal clear. Context matters....

I've messaged a MOD in detail about this and won't be commenting on this matter again.
Maybe lay off the crack for a while. There is no agenda except transparency. As soon as another umbrella or agenda do anything which isn't published with a press release and lose FCSA accreditation and...

They posted a similar summary with an article on the other thread and I thought it was a mistake, but they've posted the same information here again. I can't see any link and WTFH this is what "unsubstantiated" looks like, because there is no link, not anything I posted....

Sorry, you're biased towards this person Lucy. If you don't see that, that's your problem. Nothing I wrote was unsubstantiated, and people should always check on Companies House to follow any trail suggested in this forum. Trust but verify.
Checking the history of a company is something...

Forgive me, what relation does this have to Clarity, Quitron, FCSA membership? I don't see the link after checking Companies House and a database showing companies with financial links to Honest Payroll. I think you should edit or remove your post unless you provide an explanation....

This is the part that is of concern. Lucy seems a decent person but she can be the most reliable person in business in the UK and unfortunately any actions taken by the Cyprus based parent business can ruin that despite her own best efforts. That is really the issue here and to pretend otherwise is...

Asked my two friends who were with Clarity if they have had any contact about the FCSA restoration but they haven't received any phone calls or emails saying this yet.
You can do your own research on the Cyprus connection and decide whether the parent company is reliable. Neither Clarity...

From a friend in this position now:
"The umbrella will ask you repeatedly who recommended you or which agency recommended them from the literature they provided you. You won't stop being asked this. It's part of the referral process. Be careful of quotes, the weekly or monthly fee will vary...

Given the complexities, up to £200 seems fair.
What isn't fair or logical is paying a nearly £1000, which might be one or two months mortgaged payments, which is then often added on to the loan itself. People often take a 2 year mortgage and just throw these fees on top of their loan...

Be wary of people recommending purely because they want a referral fee and bonuses.
I've seen Nasa and Paystream mentioned here a lot across threads and based in the UK. You are going to have to phone the top 5 biggest players and see what fees and SIPP or pension contributions are possible....

I spread the net wide to try and find out why the FCSA have been so quiet on the prior discussion about Clarity, Lucy, and the linked businesses. I finally acquired off the record information from two separate sources and I think it's fair to say this performative theatrics in the form of legal action...

There are changes coming April 2026 regarding umbrella companies. If this could be a reason Clarity and Lucy have went down this path of consolidation, parent company, and whatever else is not yet known, why? You write as if close to the industry. Is higher potential liability and insurance...

Reassurances are one thing and are always presented during M&A, but the parent company has the capability to do what it pleases and the child companies are controlled by the parent. That's the issue here.
Someone already posted the happenings at the parent company and it doesn't look...

These ramblings are low IQ as hell, but is at least indicative that not all contractors are very bright....

That was my feeling when I checked Companies House for QUITRON HOLDING LTD, a sinking feeling.
Remember that a lot of umbrella company users will be working on government projects with SC, DV, eDV clearances. PSR and any agencies working with them can't take the risk of paying umbrella...

I think this guy has indicated from his posts that English is his third language, so I would cut him a break. Maybe you should get the duolingo out while on the Spanish bench....

In a downturn your advice is rubbish.
With hindsight SchumiStars should've MVLd their company, if they didn't already do that, and applied for whatever benefits they are entitled to. Your libertarian leanings mean you often post silly advice across this forum. We pay a lot of tax, many...

You think if everyone was forced into an office the use of AI (not LLM) and automation in businesses would stop and the grads and young people without a job would suddenly get work? That there would be more jobs? That's before mentioning the cost of the commute in a stagnated or even a lower wage environment...

I found out about Clarity from one of my accountants. I work abroad often and have different accountants for different contracts, as one includes a tax cross border tax accountant.
The FCSA has contacted big agencies to tell them about the removal of Clarity and other linked umbrellas from...
