    ^^^ OM.

    Morning.

    Sunday.

Couldn't be arsed to get up earlier which is moderately unusual.

    Dry.

    Sunny.

Cold in here at 11.9 deg, 12 deg in the kitchen, 8 deg in the leanto.

998 mBar, in Hg, Torr, psi, (down from 999 last night), 73% RH (GDR hair), 70% RH (Lidl electric).

Xogg's trauma with the airport pickup zone reminds me of Strangelove Pater's admission to hospital, during the return home I took the wrong exit from a roundabout onto the M4 and ended up heading west, went off at Penllegaer and did exactly the same thing, so ended up in Llanelli before I managed to get on the eastbound carriageway. Not my finest hour.

Meanwhile on the 14th of April 2019 I was faffing about with the patch of ground next to the garage in yet another of those plans that have come to nothing.

Walk (abbreviated) walked in the sunshine & rather bracing breeze. Some threatening clouds made an appearance towards the end.

Lunch: baked potato with cheese & baked beans, a red corner yog, bramble jelly and marmalade on slices of toast, 0.91*1.61 pints of good Glengettie tea.

Now wondering if a shopping trip to Morrisons might be on the cards for this afternoon.

    It rained.

Freecell score: 85%, running average 85%. And it took some doings to achieve 85%.

Entertainment: Blaze: Nazi Conspiracy Theories. Who'd have thunk?

Sky Arts: Pink Floyd: Pulse: Again.

    The documentary about DSOTM. Again.

Couldn't be arsed to cook therefore: Tea: Heinz pea & ham soup with Morrisons sunflower & pumpkin seed bread (now I'll have to go to Morrisons tomorrow to buy some more), some peach slices, a yog, 0.91*1.57 pints of good Glengettie tea.

Vera S11 E5 "Vital Signs". Rather enjoyed that one.

The Repaire Shoppe: Trunk (no elephants were harmed in the construction thereof), oh how jolly a glass horse riding trophy for a young lady who topped herself, some plastic toy thingie.

      Afternoon denizens

Grey day out but it isn't raining. Currently 5°C, maybe getting to 6°, and the barometers are up a touch at 985/992mB

I see it's going to get colder over the next few days, with a low of -5° predicted for Tuesday and 40% chance of snow on Friday

Lunch: a bacon bap (no sauce)

Accompanied by something about a company that specialises in moving trains by road

These new trains are brought from Spain to the docks in Bristol, then transported by road to Liverpool. Did nobody tell them Liverpool has docks?

            It's a thought. .

Meanwhile on the 14th of April 2019 the Oak Island nutjobs had a 50" can to drill holes with.

Behind another car when going into NT car park this afternoon and saw reflection of driver in his mirror. Looked just like me!

As the descendant of Merseyside dockers, I'm just going to say "Good point"

Tea has been a roast pork dinner, and was extremely nice

The fan oven here has this mode where it also uses the grill element in the top, and roasting pork that way makes a great job of the crackling

Today's trip to Sussex and back was uneventful. Many minor chores done:

                  1. Confirmed what trousers my Mum will wear to her Mum's funeral on Thursday. I picked up some from Next which were a fabulous fit and she was very happy with them. Whether she remembers on Thursday that she was happy with the leg length is a different matter entirely and not one I have any control over.
                  2. Returned the terrible, badly fitting, trousers to Tesco and obtained a refund.
                  3. Checked the noise on the phone line wasn't because of a dodgy phone and reported the fault to Sky who have, in turn, reported it to Openreach.
                  4. Updated EON.Next with new meter readings and confirmed that the amount of credit on her account is reasonable.

I noticed that her PC had self-updated to Windows 11 so that's going to confuse her no end. I wonder if it can be rolled back?

Along with some of the usual odds'n'sods of Sunday viewing such as Antipodean policing, I almost watched a programme on Sky Arts about Dark Side of the Moon but ended up missing most of it while I was mucking about in the kitchen sorting out dinner

And later, a new documentary on Disney+ about Abbey Road Studios, If These Walls Could Sing (2022), made by Mary McCartney, daughter of Paul and Linda. As well as Paul and Ringo, it featured contributions from members of Pink Floyd and others. Pretty interesting

                      Goodnight all
