Bet365 are up that way iiirc. They used to pay 350 outside. Not seen anything up that way in ages TBH.

Might have had something to do with when a customer found and exploited a software glitch to win a couple of million from their game.

July 2025. Halfway through the year when it was all going to start firing back up again. Perhaps not then eh?

At this rate by the time it gets going again, systems will be old and require upgrading into new improved codebases, perhaps, and there will be another big demand. I suspect not however.

If there's anywhere that should have a bit more money to spend, it's an online casino

This is true - gambling has surged in recent years, as it did in the lead up to dotcom crash and 2008. We are in the euphoria period, apparently.

Tiger Woods signed worlds biggest sports contract of the time with Gatorade in 2007. Christian Ronaldo just signed the worlds biggest sports contract of all time in 2025.

            I've not even seen a Bet365 contract for a a few years.

The Stoke rate is a typo, if you search on linked in half of the countries remaining recruiters have posted it (the role).

Well, I was quite optimistic about the market improving a few weeks ago after a flurry of activity, but it's clear to me now that it's gotten worse, a LOT worse, if that were even possible.

It's difficult to see it ever returning to any kind of normality now.

If you draw a straight line on the trajectory of Hays share price, it will go to zero in around 3-4 years from now.

                  or,

It will bounce along with the market.

It seems to be picking up for full time roles in my field as there was nothing at all from Jan to May.

I went for a 12m FTC as it was quite local but the salary wasn't listed but I have every single technical cert they wanted so we shall see if I even get interviewed.

I am getting bits and pieces of work, days here and there but nothing longer. My last gig was 13 months, don't think that will ever happen again.

I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.

My last gig was 3.5 years, outside and fully remote on a decent rate.

I can say with absolute 100% certainty, that's not going to ever happen again.
