I meant Computacenter (who are a UK firm) not Cap Gemini. Accenture is technically Irish domiciled I believe and Fujitsu is obviously Japanese... I was trying to say 'not based in India'.

Have you thought about retraining to be a money launderer?

Er, I mean barber. Apparently the growth in barbers in Britain is higher than any other type of retail or service outlet since 2020.

        Depleting warchest.
        Universal credit.
Bank of (grand) mother / grand (dad) / inheritance.
        Amazon delivery / warehouse working

It's just so sad and depressing. I have experienced restructuring twice in my career: 6 months between work and then 10 months, but at least back then, the investment bank gave compo. The first restructuring / redundancy episode led to me to the first contract gig way back when.
Depleting the war chest and staying 5.9 months in Europe, where I'm from, tried to secure a contract from there, which never happened, and then went back to the UK looking again. ( I was about to close the company after such a long time.)

Surprise, surprise, it's been raining again. Some respite tomorrow before yet another named storm rolls in on Monday. WTF?!

Might not be your thing, but if I were in Malaga in the rain I'd spend a happy day slowly strolling around the Picasso museum.
Maybe lunch at Antigua Casa de Guardia. I even rather like El Pimpi.

A day trip to Gib, buy a couple cigars from Alberto Stagnetto. Lunch and a pint, perhaps a cigar at the Angry Friar.

I have had at least ten Indian recruiters contact me for the same banking role in Northampton. Despite me clearly stating the rate is much too low they all seemed to believe that I am definitely interested and start discussing next steps.

But if there is some idiot consultancy willing to pay that, I am going to max that. I put up the shortest credible CV last night. Perhaps it's a bag of tulipe.
