In the end, I decided to go with ICS Accounting Umbrella over Giant, because I preferred the weekly payment. Otherwise it would have been typical payment after the signed timesheet, 30 days in arrears monthly, which is the policy with my agency, because that is how they would pay Giant or similar umbrella....Last edited by rocktronAMP; 15 July 2026, 16:26.

As I said above. The agency has Giant on their PSL. I found their calculator here https://www.giantgroup.com/umbrella#calculator
I don't think I will be making salary sacrifices into a pension, because I have personal debt to deal with. If I survive 6 months of this Inside IR35 gig then,...

Questions: Regarding Umbrella companies.
Do you approach them directly or is that the remit of the consultancy / agency through their PSL?
Do you need to have a proof of contract at the time of application? I am going through the DBS checking and security integrity check...
