It used to be before the OPW changes in 2021.
My first gig in 2003 was with MS in TVP, Reading where I was living at the time, so zero commute cost with the subsidised bus. A great but odd gig they applied an undocumented patch which messed up a critical app so paid me for nine months...

My 14 yo lad does this, he has built my poc/VMs server, my dads pc, his own gaming rig and a few for his mates.
He uses https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/ which shows which components are compatible with each other and where to get them from.
For my own server it was nice to click...

Some small interest last week but this week has been total tumbleweed, even yesterday was pants as I seem to see more gigs posted on a Thursday.
Had a call from a pimp, I did ask "are you calling just to look busy as the contract market is completely flat?"
He laughed...
