Eh if that is a dig at me then get a life...
It is a quick google if you care to look, I am quoting the ONS data which is widely published figures - not trying to debunk any data the stats speak for themselves, just giving the good old facts!!
I am quite aware that year to June is different than a calendar year
ONS record their figures and data to June each year maybe that is beyond your comprehension.Comment

Does not change the facts that the numbers are way too high...
More interested in arguing about their reporting timetable than the crux of the issue which is that immigrations is far too high and workers in our sector have been stuffed but this is not new....not by a long way.
Starmer seems to have woken up that fact as of yesterday with his speech ....probably realising that this will be the key make or break issue at the next election if they last that long....Comment

In the past it was less of an issue, because good IT contractors in the UK could get lucrative contracts in Europe with ease, and the ones who didn't want to leave the UK could get UK contracts. Now that many of the good contractors are no longer working in Europe, then others are struggling.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

Oh dear!!!
Utterly pathetic in a word...am not even answering the absurdness of what you have written WTFH so toddle off.
This is the standard rhetoric that comes out when anyone says we have had too much immigration ...almost £1m in a year ain't sustainable and is way more than anyone in Western Europe ....but don't let get facts get in the way of your insults...

The £ sign was a typo as doing some multi-tasking between work and having a few laughs on here ....!
No I meant way more...they are interchangeable phrases one if more informal than the other = same meaning.
Way more is "slang" so more fitting for on hereI'd say given some are not quite so bright

I think one of the problems with IT, is that we are often looked down upon by management and non-technicals in the UK. They don't see highly skilled IT workers as any different from low skilled IT workers. Not in all cases, but overall I think we have failed to make the case that we are a professional body that is worthy of respect, like say lawyers, doctors, chartered engineers and so on.
The cheaper option in the minds of management is simply the better option.Comment
