Even the photos when they are done up, you'd think that's a tough wank.

I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.

Even when you look at IT conferences where professionals are speaking, I don't see change: same old faces like Talking Heads (Same as it ever was). I admit this evidence is anecdotal as in common sense.
Given the headcount of small to mid-level businesses, and that <4% of the population is black, I'd agree your anecdotal evidence is drivel.
On a similar note, I work in London, and in 20 years have only worked with three Project Managers who were from North of the Watford gap.Comment

Exactly fiisch !
Some people have zero sense it is hilarious
The latest census shows that only 4% of the population are black this is a white country.
Due to the crazy DEI nut jobs black/ethnic groups are being over represented to tick a box, more so in SME's by proprtion of the population.
As rocktronAMP was banging on about anecdotal and saying it is "common sense" here is one for him:
Can't quote the names as these are real life people. in my most recent job I had dealings with the Home Office and all names bar one were Middle eastern/muslim, African/Indian. It was an eye opener, so you are talking tosh. It was a case of spot the white person you would not think this was a UK office, it felt surreal as I had actually worked at the Home Office two decades ago and the change is phenomenal I was shocked, really shocked at the speed of replacement.Comment

White British in London are just over 50% with Asian 21% and Black 13.5% plus various mixed race.
So, not surprising that the place where most of the jobs are has a different mix to your expectations/experience/rose-tinted whatever.Comment

Oh do jog on...it wasn't London I was dealing with it was the Home Office in Leeds for this particular project. It was in very sharp contrast to when I actually worked at the Home Office in the mid 2000's.
You are still talking rubbish by your data if it was in London it should have been say 50% white but it was 5% if that..totally, totally skewed.
Still trying to defend the indefensible.
It is not rose tinted, I actually wish it was just a case of that.
It is facts if you have a pair of eyes in your head and you can read people's names. Two decades later in the same UK wide organisation and just wow! is the only it can be described.Comment

I think my solution may very well be moving over here (Spain) and becoming somebody else's immigration problem ;-). The kind that pays his way, contributes to the country, commissions Spanish trades people and respects this country's beliefs and culture (except bull fighting but I'm not going to start protesting to stop that).Last edited by oliverson; Yesterday, 09:59.Comment
