I do not know why UKIP are bothering with Scotland. What the Scottish independence movement needs is some sort of party that has a right wing capitalist agenda (its own version of UKIP) that will create jobs and stimulate enterprise. There is not an example anywhere of where a left wing government has stimulated economic growth, a lesson the French are learning to their cost.

The left are very good at stripping wealth out of a flourishing economy but utterly hopeless at creating enterprise.

Why I thought this was quite a good way to put it, Salmond refused to condemn it which makes him look silly.
