Ah, I remember now - I tried it the other day. Somebody I've never heard blocked me months ago, when I hadn't even posted anything!

This is an excellent post by an experienced BlueSky user explaining how things work there, both culturally and (when relevant) technically: The Great Bluesky Migration: I Answer (Some) Of Your Questions

It’s a fine line I’ll grant you.Originally posted by eek View Post
Yep I can block people there as well as I can here. Which means you only see posters like Fraidycat once because I can operate my 1 strike and out rule.
It's why I wouldn't want to be a mod - I would make cojak look like a reasonable person and kill this community in days...

Well never fear, the blocking on Blue Sky is great! I can see my hiking and urban feeds free from crap.

It’s good. I found it a bit boring compared to
Twitter at first, but then realised it’s because an algorithm isn’t feeding me click bait night and day.

All the far lefties and commies who used to post on Twitter \ X are migrating to it because the poor luvies are so gutted at the US election results and how nasty the UK is.Originally posted by d000hg View PostI stopped going on TwiXer a while back and saw all the discussion about BlueSky, figured people here are probably all over such things - thoughts?
I do love Bluey but that's the Australian childrens' animation.
If you want to swim with the far lefties and commies, go for it.

Yes. I deleted my Xitter account very soon after Elon Musk made his real intentions clear. I'm on Threads and Bluesky, they seem generally a lot more civilised - but give it time

Yes, the customer service stuff is handy. I think a lot of businesses are still stuck on Twitter, but I'd expect them to start making the move if Bluesky continues growingOriginally posted by d000hg View PostOne of the things I found Twitter most useful for was disrupting normal customer service, you'd often get direct response from businesses.
Are they using BS as well (I know there's been a ot of high profile eXits from Elon's platform of late)? Not what Twitter was really for but it was nice.
Thanks Nick and CJ
