I created a longer reply but it's basically ^^^
I would also mention that you will be passing this to the Solicitor's Regulation Authority as it would be 1 thing if MrO666 or I (neither of us are part of this) were raising frivolous SAR requests to create work but you made the request because...Last edited by eek; 10 June 2026, 17:31.

the risk is the clause in the outside contract saying they can chase you to recover the tax HMRC are telling the consultancy / agency to pay.
i suspect a combination of being on a project a long time, fear of a large tax bill, no longer being able to claim expenses (regardless of the legality...

Dan has just posted a story about Robert Venables (the QC whose opinion is at the heart of a lot of these schemes) and his tax evasion criminal case - so we may not see the other story today..

If people are willing to pay money - why wouldn’t they take it - remember the police won’t call until a crime has been reported and until last week everyone was missing something very fundamental that Dan seems to have picked up.
As I’ve said continually for the past week - wait and...

but reality is everything is in limbo until Dan publishes his report at which point I suspect W28 will have a different problem (past...

So firstly how the f*** do you know that sort of internal information
But it is why Dan’s report is so important
if the loans aren’t employer loans and therefore are subject to the CCA then the loans are illegal and not enforceable.
