Half the time there's no connection between the key switch and the starter other than software.
In other other non polleny news, lunch was indeed roast beef, as the chunk of meat extracted from the freezer yesterday did, in the end, turn out to be beef.
It was nice enough.
Tea/dinner was a couple of Morrisons individual cheese & chutney pork pies with Heinz baked beans on Morrisons seeded toast.
It was nice enough.
Followed by some stewed plums (Morrisons reduced, hard as billard balls thusly explaining the need for stewing) with custard.
Having used all the caster sugar left by Strangelove Mater, we are now on to icing sugar for the custard.
It's a bit fecking odd but tastes alright. Ish.
When that's done it'll be the demarara sugar that Strangelove Pater liked in his Blend 37 instant coffee.
This last has been here for at least 5 years.
I wonder what it'll make the custard look like.
Strangelove sis had her VW Golf nicked by scrotes back in 1989.
When located it had no doors, bonnet, or wheels.
One trusts that this will not transpire with the SMC.
Though it did transpire with my then mate's Escort estate. When the fun stops, STOP.Comment

Been out for a drive around some of the dodgier areas of this side of the city, including quite a few places I never knew existed and several routes that turned out to connect areas I didn't think were connected. No joy, but it was worth a try, I supposeComment

In other news, despite not being described in what passes for the user manual, the satellite receiver scans & finds stuff ok.
Not in a Freesat sort of way, but in a generic satellite box sort of way.
With a great list of a 1000 or so channels, many of which are regional duplicates.
How many BBC1s does one country need?
This evening's entertainment following the cold shower was the thing on 4 about George VI and D Day/Double Cross.
Which was interesting enough.
Now we've moved on to the Oak Island nutjobs who are in full on nutjob mode.
They've found a lead cross.
In Smith's Cove.
It's really really old.
Between 1200 and 1600.
Apparently.
