    Morning all

Got to Client co. at 08:15, laptop has now finished updating itself and allowed me to log in.

Suppose I'd better actually look like I'm doing some work.

A pair of long tailed tits appeared on the bird feeders yesterday.

Don't see those very often, and they normally turn up in a little flock of 9 or 10 in the summer.

          Morning denizens

Chilly out, but a bit of sun is starting to poke through the clouds

Lunch time, such as it is.

Back on the diet again to shift the 3 kilo's I put on over December.

Back on the turbo trainer last night as well, legs are complaining now.

In with the hoi polloi in the library.

              Much coughing.

Off to Morrisons to see if there any nice commestibles to purchase at advantageous prices.

Repairman has left. Following further sharp intakes of breath he's gone to get a price for the repairs to the cooker. As for the tumble dryer, his suggestion was to put the cost of the repair towards a new one.
                Beko binned, Miele arriving tomorrow.

On a walk in Aylestone Meadows, the nature reserve I always forget is about ten minutes walk from home up the old Great Central Railway footpath

Walk done. According to this app I went 3.5 miles in just under seventy minutes, so about 3mph

My legs, unused to anything more than a stroll round Sainsbury's lately, got mightily annoyed at first. But I rested on a bench for a few minutes then went on, and they apparently realised that this was, in fact, what they're for in the first place, and started getting into the spirit of things a bit more. A walk down there, or out at Bradgate, every day or two should soon get them back in shape.
