Uneventful drive down to Sussex yesterday and a very tedious drive home.

Earlier, while hanging around by the kitchen window waiting for the kettle to boil, I saw a magpie come flying in from the direction of the road, only to be immediately chased out by another magpie

I wonder if it was one of this year’s youngsters discovering that in magpie life, return visits to the parental territory will only be tolerated for so long and after that, you’re out

Tea was supposed to be pork cutlets, which I bought from Not-as-big Sainsbury’s last Thursday, have kept in the fridge since then, and which have a use-by date of tomorrow. When I took them out, they smelled a bit and looked an unpleasant shade of grey, but I figured I’d see if they were OK. After half an hour in the Remoska, they’ve filled the kitchen with the aroma of pork that’s gone off

Alternative tea was mango ribs out of the freezer, with chips

And to go with it, some of the fare dodgers. There’s some right muppets taking the trams in Nottingham

Nowt social today, messing around in garden and walky. Arty thing tomorrow morning and Karaoke in evening if I get round to it, getting some songs together. Youtube is now showing lyrics on every tune but seems a bit defective. Have a look at 0.38 on this Mungo Jerry song.
