    Morning.

    Thursday apparently.

    Grey.

    Dark.

    Drizzly.

    Damp.

    Dreary.

Cool in here at 20.8 deg, 22 in the kitchen, 20 in the leanto.

1004 mBar, 29.648 in Hg, 753.1 Torr, 14.56 psi, (up from 1003.5 last night), 71% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 27th of January 2020 I was xrayed, Brillo was in the smoke, WTFH was shovelling pea shingle, LM & NF popped in, with the latter consuming lentil soup for lunch.

Minor potching in the garage. Found a Maplin(tm) serial interface for a Dragon 32 in addition to the one that's upstairs somewhere, also some 65C02 chips I didn't know were there, and a load of sideways roms for the BBC, plus oodles of damp documentation for said BBC and the BBC Master.

    Lunch: brunch.

Entertainment: The Bottom Line (calm down xogg).

Washing frenzy in progress since the semigale will dry stuff fairly promptly.

All out on the line, half of it is horizontal: drying well.

Shirts in off the line & roughly iRoned, during which the iRon died. Ho fecking hum.

Found the ancient travelling iRon down in the garage: no connecting lead so I'll have to make one. .

The one I made didn't fit. . Used the iRon cold on the two remaining items.

    Tea: soup etc.

    Entertainment: snail sex. PM.

    War Walks: Dunkirk.

NCIS S2 E7: "Call of Silence": the one about the elderly marine MOH awardee who thinks he murdered his buddy on Iwo.

    Trucking Hell S9 E7.

Alien abduction bollox on Blaze: this one featuring "quantum hypnosis" whatever the feck that is. .

        Morning all

Cloudy and a bit on the dull side. Currently 22 degrees ('feels like' 24) with a high of 24 expected. Varying levels of rain risk all day. Barometer down to 1010 mBar.

        Sunrise 04:46; Sunset 21:23 BST

Not seeing any reported changes to sunset times yet and I don't think I'm feeling the benefit of the later sunrise.

I need to find something in Harvey Nichols to spend £50 on to trigger £50 cashback (i.e. something I want that I can get for free, or end up paying very little towards). The cashback expires on the 30th, after which time Amex will no longer offer this benefit for cardholders.

Not quite. Max still needed walking, but was only just over 6,000 steps.

              Lunch: currywurst

It's turned quite Simpsonesque here now

I had a minor win this morning. There's a checklist of stuff that needs to be gone through and confirmed with the team who run the service we're dealing with, and I was supposed to go over it with their lead dev. But he's on leave for two weeks after tomorrow and is snowed under with stuff to deal with before then, and the only time he had free was tomorrow morning! So other members of the team will do that with him, and I'm no longer in danger of giving away the fact that I'm not even sure what half the things on there are about in the first place

Boring eye test today. Fortunately no significant deterioration again. Loony lady 2 was *** irritating again yesterday, insisted I took her to Waitrose after our nice walk.

PS Where has the moon gone? Not seen it for ages.

Another week done! Timesheet already approved too!

No word on the office attendance thing. More precisely, the word I got is that there's been no word from higher up yet

Mind you, it's still early days. They won't be even thinking about starting to enforce it until late July, and may not even be ready by then. Coincidentally, that's about the time this project should be coming to a close, so it might be an ideal time to get out if things don't go my way

I'm undecided as to whether to go shopping this evening or tomorrow morning. I only need a few bits and Viz was last week so either way, it'll be Not-as-Big Sainsbury's

                    Tea: curried mince and chips

And to watch, Police: Suspect No. 1 on 5, about a big fight in the street in Grimsby or somewhere like that, in which somebody got hit over the head with a crowbar

                    No shopping done this evening
