Tea: pork cutlet, chips and beans

Accompanied by what the app reckoned was an unwatched Police Interceptors but I've seen it before

I almost had cottage pie for tea. But I started making it this afternoon and then decided to leave the base in the fridge overnight, to let the flavours of the herbs and stuff develop

I gave up waiting for UKTV, or other free to air channel, to show series 3 of Whitstable Pearl and acquired a download of it instead. This evening's entertainment has been the first two episodes.

Tonight, I read some more of One Girl's War. Anthony Blunt is up to his old tricks - though they were his new tricks then

I believe I had some quite interesting dreams last night, though I forgot what they were about as soon as I woke up. Maybe I just dreamed about having them

          Goodnight all

Overcast and a faint hint of drizzle in the air. Didn't sleep well, and then didn't want to get out of bed, so the walk was only 6km. Must try harder.

              Morning denizens

Grey day, and there's been some rain overnight. The wind has eased off a little but will redouble its efforts shortly. Rather warmer than yesterday at 16°C with 23° on the cards; the barometers are down a little at 998/1005mB

                Morning.

                Tuesday.

                Grey, very grey.

                Sunless.

                Damp.

                Drizzly.

                Dire.

Cool in here at 20.5 deg, 21.5 in the kitchen, 20 in the leanto, 17 outside.

1006.5 mBar, 29.722 in Hg, 754.94 Torr, 14.598 psi, (down from 1009 last night), 65% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 26th of January 2020 BR14 popped in, Brillo popped in & LM apologised.

Shopping trip to Aldi and Tesco done dusted washed dried sanitised & put away: the visit to Aldi due to the absence of the 38 bus so had to walk.

Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: Y&Y phone in about vets. <click> Glad I don't have a cat any more.

                Strewth it's a bit close.

Freecell score in the tedium of the rainy afternoon: 82%, running average: 82%.

Stroll down the garden to the garage to examine the glue job from yesterday: it seems to have worked.

Tea: Tesco battered haddock etc. Nice enough.

Entertainment: PM until the presenter was even more fecking irritating than the usual oik, thusly: <click>.

Dunno if there's anything to watching this evening. I'll read some ancient RadComs until those bore me too.

Professor Richard Holmes: War Walks: Naseby.

                Digging for Britain. Snooze fest.

                More4: British Isles. Ditto.

Blaze: when big things go wrong. Watched it previously. A warning about making your gussets too thin for the application (i.e. if the design calls for 1" thick gussets then make fecking sure they are 1" thick and not 0.5" thick. Also if it looks a bit bent when it shouldn't then fecking tell someone rather than just take a photo). . And to avoid building single point failures into stuff.

Maybe Boeing's designers of the 737 Max might have learned something if they'd watched it.

                  Morning all

Cloudy, quite dull compared to recent times. Signs of damp from overnight rain. Currently 17 degrees with a high of 26 expected. Rain threatening all day but suspect it won't amount to much if it does. Barometer down to 1012 mBar.

                  Sunrise 04:45; Sunset 21:23 BST

Refuse and food waste collection today. They haven't been yet so I also filled a black bag this morning with that wool insulation packing stuff that comes with chilled goods. I keep it because it's a waste to throw away and I know some people who use it in their compost heaps. However, the pile I was keeping to give to those people was verging on hoarding so it had to be chucked.

Having gone from "Random locations" to "At least 1 more location in the country that contains today's SM" to "Random countries", I've switched to alphabetical by country, and I'm almost done with Costa Rica. A few countries later in the alphabet have been completed as well, and I know that Japan, UK & USA have a lot.
