    Morning denizens

Grey day out, though no rain yet

The laundry I forgot to put on yesterday is now on.

      Morning all
Just back in from a dry dog walk, and now the precipitation has begun. This is annoying as I haven't been to see the chickens and guinea fowl.

In other news, the chest now feels like I've done some exercise and is a little stiff, but no major pain.
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

So is mine, the first pass should have finished by now.

I don't think I'll be drying much on the washing line today.

In other news: in with the hoi polloi.

The bus pass panic seems to have abated somewhat.

It was ok, given the limitations of its time.

Not a patch on the tv series though which benefited from 70 years of progress and the decided advantage of no one really shooting at any one.
Just as well I didn't buy this one again or it would have been 33p down the drain.

In other news, I've got as far as page 115 of "A Bright Shining Lie" and I'm beginning to wonder WTF the Septics thought they were doing in VN.

The corruption of the SVN is unbelievable, along with the stunning incompetence of the ARVN.

Beginning to change my opinion of Victor Charlie in many ways.

By 1962 the war was well on the way to being lost.

Laundry done and distributed over the clothes horse.

And the rain is coming and going. Trying to decide whether to do the shopping this afternoon, or put it off to this evening

I too, have performed laundry duties this morning.

lunch has been a scotch egg <why so called i don't know, since i'd never seen one before moving to london in the '70's >

and a slice of walnut coffee cake.

and 0.8 litres of earl grey tea.

Heinz beans on, wait for it wait for it: Morrisons Ancient Grain toast (they didn't have any pumpkin seed in stock this morning), followed by a smidgeon of Morrisons pork pie (reduced), and 1.05 pints of Good Glengettie Tea.

I've never liked Earl Grey and only ever drank it due to pussy power.

The monsoon has returned along with the old women & sticks.

Light lunch of some cocktail sausages

And as the rain seems to be holding off, I might as well get the shopping done
