I thought that the concensus here (me, MP, CM, hairy and some others) was that the kidnappers were 100% resposible for the kidnapping and the parents were responsible for leaving their child alone and going to dinner. In no way was anyone saying that the kidnappers were not to blame.

The opposing concensus (DA etc) was that they were not really in the wrong as it is a judgement call and everyone's judgement is different. Also, we have the benefit of hindsight so our position is corrupted.

d000hg went off on a surreal homosexual tangent with hairy for a bit but that was not really relevant.

          yep its all opinion.

I do think because the McCanns were professionals the Police handled them differently to council estate parents. I suspect if they used 'innit' the Police might have charged them with neglect. They may be waiting until Maddie is found.

But again regardless of what the Parents did, the public good wants the abductors found and prosecuted.

The surreal homosexual tangent with hairy was completely relevant.

I didn't go off on a gay tangent, I was pulled off on one.

Indeed, it was not even tangential.

I believe that they were in Portugal so maybe Portuguese law is different and so why should the British police arrest them for negligence?

They probably watched MadMen and assume you're having an affair.
