The short answer is: There is no “we” it is the government. The government are killing innocent people in Afghanistan in order to protect the drug trade that feeds the banks. (Known fact; read about HSBC) The government should get out of Afghanistan. Furthermore, the government has been letting uncontrolled immigration, even those people who are too extreme for their own country. Simple answer; send them all back. Both problems are caused by government.

The thing you are missing, is interpretation of 'the words' of Mohammed. It is how these words are interpreted that causes what we see, for some see killing the infidel as the actual words of the prophet, some see a muslims mission is to convert the infidel, the non believers.

Interpretation does not come into mindless, senseless acts and views. There is no logic, reason or intelligence behind any of the things they say or do. There is no logic in forcing somebody to convert - anybody with any intelligence will realise it is something that a person must decide on their own! A great deal of these thugs come from uneducated backgrounds and are effectively used by others "higher up" as pawns.

Absolutely untrue, absolutely. The whole ethos of this religion, is that there is no word per se, there are teachings, which are subjective.

Let's look at "Fight and slay the infidels wherever you find them" - Historically, you can argue when Islam was powerful, this didn't happen and it's simply the way the Quran was writen. However, do you think an Imam could not put a different spin on the meaning of the words?

Checks and balances, bollocks; you've worked on enough IT projects to know how much tulipe goes into production without anyone giving a dogpoo about whether it's correct.

As for your question, I would expect the German authorities would ask the American guy some questions, maybe even take him to the station and get to the bottom of the matter, and then present the cae to a judge who decides whether he can be sent home, but not shoot him as he gets on a train. Germany has the rule of law and is not a police state, whatever some little Englanders think.

There are many ways to define "fundamentalist". Most of them don't include murdering people. I would describe myself as a fundamentalist Christian (possibly NAT also) but that doesn't mean I have to believe the earth is 6000 years old... that's a secular negative cliche of what fundamentalists often think, not what fundamentalism IS.
