You arn't too big to excersise Sal, unless you are physically incapable of walking. It doesnt have to involve jogging for miles or lifting huge weights. Half an hour a day of anything that raises your pulse and gets you to break into a sweat does the job.

Get down to your local gym and ask for an introductory session with one of the trainers there. They will be able to tell you exactly what you can and cant do and what would be best for you. If you are nervouse about excersise or just don't know what you are capable off, sign up with a personal trainer for a couple of sessions a week. It's not as expensive as it sounds and they will really help you get off to a good start.

I'm in the habit of going to the gym at least twice a week now and there are some seriously large people there, 18 stone plus. If they can do it so can you.

Personal trainer is a good idea. A good one will motivate you and get you inspired.

        That takes me to Xmas.
Put 1/2 a stone back on with all my hotel chocolat and baileys!

Then go back on from Jan for 8 weeks, loose 2 stone (and achieving my total), which will put me in wedding dress final fitting territory around march.

Then from March to July start running, toning, getting my body in shape, rather than smaller.

Sounds so easy I haven't even had one delicious shake for breakfast yet!!
I see a Plan B emerging for you SA !

ps. just off for my mid morning packet of cheese and onion

Where as a bad one forces lard down your throat and giggles at you when you wobble on the treadmill.

          Sorry couldn’t resist!

I'm in the habit of going to the gym at least twice a week now and there are some seriously large people there, 18 stone plus. If they can do it so can you.
I cant do the gym at the moment. I'm up at 5:30 every day to get on the train to York and dont get back in the house until about 7pm.
The gym is just not going to happen.

I walk into work from the train station (and back) every day (15 mins very brisk walk each way) but thats all I get exercise wise.

I dont think I said I cant exercise - if I said that I didn't mean it. I meant it's not easy. But lack of time is my biggest factor at the minute.

              I'm 19.5 stones Seriously massive!!
(Not that I think I look anywhere near that - I must carry a stone in each tit for one thing! And the rest is quite hidden Not really got a fat face...)

I've tried telling yous loads of times... I tend to put on an average of a stone on every 6 months...have done for the last about 10 years! If I'm not on an extreme diet (and LOOSING all this weight), then I put it on without effort.

I dont know how to eat properly...well, thats not true. I know what you're "suposed" to do - I just can't do that. I'm all or nothing. not cause I'm proud to be or anything - it's just what I am.
I lost about 7 stone on Atkins a few years back. Stuck to it completely for a year or so - it was fine.

              I'm just an extreme person.

I blame diets - I was on one from about age 13, and I just think it f*cked my system up good and proper.

Anyway.....slimfast it is. Now yous know my real weight I can update you properly

I've just bought another 10,000 shares in Unilever.

I lost about 4 stone earlier this year - over about 3 months. This is how.
First exercise - I was living about 4 miles from my contract in Nottingham - instead of catching the bus in I used to walk in 1 or two days a week - and walk back. Started by only walking half way & then builtit up
I took up ice skating - apart from the bruises its really good fun & very good exercise. I had lessons - so that pushed me into going at least once a week.
I try and go a second time even now - but its harder now Im back home.
Other sport can be as good, but that is what made the difference for me.
I also cut back on food. I try not to have any money on me so I cant buy choccies, donuts or any of those lovely things.
I also cook up a big casserole mix (one pack of mince and lots of veggies) at the beginning of the week, and take to work & heat in microwave. Very low calorie & cons my body into thinking its not!
Also - dont have those items in the house - the chocs etc - they are just too tempting.
I dont worry about going out - just eat normally then - the rest of the week makes up for it.
Ive started doing it properly again after a gap of a few months - I want to lose another stone or so yet

Wow, well done dmini - that sounds like a really healthy way of getting trim.

                      Good for you
