    If you have the will power to do the slimfast thing you have the will power to simply eat properly. They taste crap and they will make you feel crap, just as WA has said.

    Eat a proper breakfast before you leave the house. Cereal, muesli, whatever appeals, just dont stop for the bacon and egg mcmuffin on the way to the office.

    Take fruit, carrot sticks etc to work with you to snack on during the day instead of crisps and chocolate.

    Eat a healthy meal for lunch. Doesn't have to be salad, just cut out the fatty stuff.

    Drink a bottle of water instead of a can of pop.

    Have a decent, healthy meal when you get home ( you'd be doing this with the slimfast regime anyway, or you should be ).

    Don't starve yourself when you feel hungry, just eat somthing good instead of something bad.

    Give yourself a day off each week. Make it the same day or change it around, whatever works for you. Eat what you like on that day and don't feel guilty about it.

        Agreed - lost 5 stone doing this and regularish exercise. Actually gained weight on slimfast because it made me so miserable. Also, cut booze to near zero. I can't legally recommend alternatives to booze.

            btw: I also agree exercise will not make you lose weight, but it will get you fit and live longer

              Quickest way to start losing weight is to stop drinking alcohol.
              Alcohol/booze contains carbohydrates and calories that you don't need and will also help to cut down on the drunken late night kebabs and other junk food.
              I know several people who have lost a lot of weight by doing just this one thing.

                Agreed, I have lost a dress size (from 10 to 8) by stopping drinking, I didn't do it deliberately, it just happened and I don't miss drinking.

                    Jacko what do you mean by a decent breakfast? different people have different ideas about a decent breakfast.

                      btw: best breakfast for me is 2 boiled eggs, when I have boiled eggs for breakfast I don't even think of food till about 1 pm so don't snack at all between breakfast and lunch.
