Mmmmmmmmmmmmm breakfast. I love all breakfasts.

I think my fav is loads of fresh bread with cheese.
Eggs are good too - but would have to be with toast/bread and loads of butter.
Or crispy bacon, sausage, crispy hash browns, beans...

Oh dear - this is no good in a slim fast thread! My stomach is rumbling now, and I'm not allowed anything else for the rest of the day!!

Anything that stops you eating until 11am - 1pm, Sandy, just like your boiled eggs.

I have scambled eggs and bacon when I'm at my b&b, muesli and a banana when I'm at home.

No snacking in between Sal. I'm afraid that at the beginning this will require discipline as you need to re-train your stomach (and your brain) that you will not respond to the first rumbles.

And you need to not be afraid to feel a bit hungry.

oh, and don't be too extreme - none of this 12 hours between eating. That just sets you up to fail.

I made a large bowl of kedgeree on Saturday morning. That's a good start to any day that keeps you satisfied until lunchtime. It keeps very nicely in the fridge and can be warmed up for a quick, easy, nutritious and, most important of all, tasty breakfast.

If you feel the need, afterwards some toast with a scraping of Lucifer's delicious home made seville orange and bourbon marmalade makes a most satisfying conclusion.

As I had friends to stay, I also rustled up some devilled kidneys, a definite favourite of mine.

Yep - feelin' good Sal. It does get easier once the ounces start falling away.

Hello Cojak. I'm fine thanks. I hope all is going well with you and yours. It's been a while since I've logged in but you know how things can go off the boil sometimes and a break is as good as a rest and all that.

I'm flattered that you think of me and my marmalade. I'm strictly rationed now as I only have half a jar left to last me until Seville orange season.

Perhaps I need a less seasonal plan B?
