It's interesting, in a sad and depressing way, watching public discourse. I can see whoever is responsible for the Hospital explosion is going to lose international public opinion. Even though Israel gave warning days ago it's still awful optics. If it was a Hamas rocket failure well, Israel is pretty much vindicated and no one can deny that Hamas is using Hospitals and civilians as shields.

ETA: Seems it's been objectively confirmed that it was a rocket launched from Gaza that exploded mid air (most likely malfunction) and then landed on the Hospital.

Not that it seems to matter to people who have picked their side.

There's a recording circulating of two Hamas operatives when they realised what had happened. But the lie goes round the world before truth has put its boots on.

I grew up near Guildford plenty of ex & current soldiers round there, many of whom had served in NI. The tales were terrifying. After peace they kind of things the IRA & others did are unravelling.

Terrorists AIUI are frequently similar to cult members. As you can see from the Israeli video it was likely Hamas who hit the hospital, there is continuous evidence they use civilian cover for attacks then lie. They are happy to blatantly lie when the truth is obvious.

Extermination and emptying Gaza seems the most likely response , to this terrorist attack and hostage taking by Hamas, from Israel. If peacemakers want to get involved the time is now, which is why POTUS is in Israel.

Sadly most of Israel's neighbours hate them based on their religion and defiant stance. Not sure what Israel can do to fix it.

I'm not sure it is really a fix, but Israel's stance for many, many decades has been :-

"Leave us alone - but if you hurt us we WILL hurt you back (worse)"

It's not a popular stance with everybody but it is, and always has been, their semi-official stance.

If Hamas had attacked those in illegal occupations and forced them to leave without the murder and mutilations, it would have been much more difficult to support Israel.
