It tells you a lot about how well they are doing

It's posting on here that keeps some of us alive.

      HTH.

Thanks for that, very inneresting programme.

How the feck he managed to avoid being eaten by bears in the Yukon is a wonder.

How he's managed to stay alive in that cabin is another wonder, particularly as his memory seems to be going.

Then again, would you rather hear from people who have made the change and speak from experience or people who are still wondering if they can ever give up being a wage slave...?

In my case, incidentally, I'm retired but MyCo is still ticking over with small jobs - although they pretty much dried up over the last 18 months for some reason, they are picking up again. So perhaps I have a double perspective.
        Blog? What blog...?

I pretty much only post in here now, rarely in the professional forums. It's entertaining .... in a strange kind of way.

It's nowhere near what it was back in Ye Goode Olde Days.

              Apparently.

When TPD could increase by 200 posts overnight.

And Fleety would correct everyone's spelung.

I have been pondering over this question ever since it was posted and realised that I'm clueless, have no idea, no real passion on anything in particular. Is it bad to be like this? I don't know, I'm clueless!!!

My idea of retirement has always been to have an orchard and a small vineyard, along with growing plenty of other fruit and veg. Knowing how much work goes in to getting those up and running, then the intention was to make sure we started along that path while we still had the energy to do the hard work, in the hope that retirement would be focused on maintenance and smaller jobs, not the bigger ones.
So, if you ever hear that we’ve moved from Surrey to the West Country, bought a house with an orchard, worked out where the vineyard should go and are planning the kitchen garden, then you’ll know we’ve started the process…
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore
