The weird thing is when I was having my jab, the nurse's clerk sitting at the desk checking my details asked me specifically if I was taking any blood thinners including aspirin.

She sounded like that would be a Bad Thing and possibly preclude me having the jab, which seems absurd if it is about bleeding from the tiny wound left by a hair-thin needle.

But, thinking about it, maybe it isn't thinner blood per se that is the potential problem but that having to take blood thinners in the first place indicates that one may be prone to blood clots.

That's convenient so the UK has a justification to hog all their own vaccine and deliver sanctimonious lectures to the EU for not delivering vaccine to other countries.
