As you point out you're still liable for UK corporation tax on any profits earned in the UK. In other words to take advantage of the tax rate you actually need to be working in Ireland....

The legality is yes you're entitled to be paid for going in but isn't worth a legal battle. Strictly speaking you could probably only book an hour or two. Try and come to arrangement with the agency.

Waiting for several hours in a queue for a charge point.
You can try doing the calculations on the current copper reserves, but from what I see it's way short of what is required for a renewable electric infrastructure. I'm heavily invested in copper mining for this reason....
