Anyway more AZ doses for the UK and other countries...well if the EU let them be shipped....
Meanwhile the UK hasn't exported a single dose. Gr8 though for UK ministers to be able to deliver sanctimonious lectures on export stops, since they don't officially have one. It seems to be simple coincidence that worldwide exports of the Astra-Zeneca vaccine are shipped from the EU.

The UK made sure that a royalty free licence was available which is why countries such as India are manufacturing it and getting vaccinated for a minimum cost We may have funded its development but we're not standing in the way of its exploitation for the common good

Though to be fair the UK also profits from the royalty free licence, which is the main reason they did this.

Actually it was me who nicked one or two crucial components of his test network. He didn't see the funny side.

UK doesn't have giga-scale manufacturing, unlike nations such as India. It doesn't make much sense to talk about the UK physically exporting vials from Blighty.

You have a link for this?

Because an undisclosed X% of £3 per jab is so much more than 40% of £18 per jab via corporation tax if they priced it the same as the other jabs.

                Now that makes sense.

The weird thing is when I was having my jab, the nurse's clerk sitting at the desk checking my details asked me specifically if I was taking any blood thinners including aspirin.

She sounded like that would be a Bad Thing and possibly preclude me having the jab, which seems absurd if it is about bleeding from the tiny wound left by a hair-thin needle.

But, thinking about it, maybe it isn't thinner blood per se that is the potential problem but that having to take blood thinners in the first place indicates that one may be prone to blood clots.

That's convenient so the UK has a justification to hog all their own vaccine and deliver sanctimonious lectures to the EU for not delivering vaccine to other countries.
