Then just use the plug that comes with it and plug it straight into the mains..."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."

I used to be one that kept on about the "when is flash coming?" for mobile phones. Then I read this blog post which explains exactly WHY you don't really want flash anyway.Originally posted by escapeUK View PostDoesnt even play Flash yet does it?
Nothing to do with the "it's a resource hog" argument - it's much more simple than that. Since plenty of flash stuff relies on onMouseOver and onClick methods, it just doesn't work with a touch screen! I know Adobe is looking at new stuff to work with touchscreens, but personally I'd rather have the jigsaw piece "missing plugin" than flash that doesn't work properly and needs to be redeveloped to work with a touchscreen.
Edit: This article on osnews is a good recap as well.

HTC Touch Pro 2 rules!
I can't do without it, especially the slide-out keyboard and the GPS.'Orwell's 1984 was supposed to be a warning, not an instruction manual'. -

Just goes to show, you shouldn't believe any old crap you find on the InternetOriginally posted by escapeUK View PostI remember reading you used to have to burn a cd from itunes to be able to convert your music to mp3 to play on a player other than an apple one.

I applied that to what you said. I know for a fact that music purchased on iTunes would not play on other MP3 players due to DRM without burning it to a CD and then ripping the CD to MP3. Have a look around at all the people looking for how to play the Itune purchases on non apple mp3 players.Originally posted by NickFitz View PostJust goes to show, you shouldn't believe any old crap you find on the Internet
Really. Id rather have something partially work than not work at all. Thankfully it works very well on HTC.but personally I'd rather have the jigsaw piece "missing plugin" than flash that doesn't work properly and needs to be redeveloped to work with a touchscreen.

DRM protected MP3s bought through iTunes is somewhat different from your suggestion that you "have to burn a cd from itunes to be able to convert your music to mp3 to play on a player other than an apple one." When I used iTunes, I played the MP3s on different players of different manufacturers.Originally posted by escapeUK View PostI applied that to what you said. So how does it tell the difference between hovering over something and clicking on it? For example, Farmville plenty of context sensitive pop-ups - if I move my mouse over it, the action is completely different from clicking on it.Originally posted by escapeUK View PostReally. MP3 players couldn't play iTunes files because they were MP3 players, and the iTunes store uses the more advanced AAC encoding.Originally posted by escapeUK View PostI applied that to what you said. DRM was imposed on Apple by the recording industry. Once Apple were in a position of strength in the market they ditched DRM, and the recording industry had to accept that. I'd say Apple have done more than most companies to oppose DRM.Comment
