I'm ordering mine from handtec, it's out monday.
I could go with T-mob, but I don't want to get tied in for 2 years. As I don't want to be stuck with a struggling handset after 15 or so months in which is what happened with my current one.

For £60 or so, you can get an 18 month contract with T-Mobile. I'm 17 months into my last 18 month contract, and they will give me an upgrade a month early because I'm such a good customer

Think that's what I'll do - I rang them this week (after getting the email saying it was out) but it didn't appear on their system for an upgrade yet. I could order a new one over their website, but then I have to change my number again, which I'm not doing.
If you have to add a , it isn't funny. HTH. LOL.

I've been with them for years and with this one they aint playing ball, it's two years contract or nowt.

My upgrade was due up last week and given my last phone has been playing silly beggars for the last few months of an 18 month contract, I'd rather NorraheCorp forked out for me new phone.

That's a very good price at Handtec - certainly seems to be much cheaper than anywhere else. I had intended to wait until later in the year for a "Windows Phone 7" device, but I'm tempted by the Desire now.
Where are we going? And what’s with this hand basket?

Yep, they're also the most reliable dealer, so will go with them.
Should have my new handset on Tuesday

Mmm, which to go for? A lot of internet reviews favour the Android based desire.

I think I will mull over it for a week or so.
Right, I finally went for the Desire. Its been delivered today, but I haven't had chance to have a play with it yet but when I do I will let you know what it's like.

I'd be interested to hear how you get on with it. Of particular interest is whether it can be used as a WiFi access point.

T-mob will have it in their shops on Monday, it was available online this week but with a 7 day delivery on it.
