They are in the business of buying and selling cars, and presumably thought the price was reasonable when they agreed to buy it, and the car OK once they inspected it. There is some part of the story missing here.
I'm sure it's in the small print somewhere

They seem to have some limitations on dealing with businesses, vs dealing with consumers. And remember, pretending you're acting as a consumer when actually acting as a business is an offence!

Last time I had dealings with them they only ever offered the Glasss' lowest estimate for a basket case. Regardless of condition.

If you want to get rid of a banger and get a few quid for it, it's a good system.

Actually was trying to get rid of a 17 year old banger and got a £150 offer from "we buy any car" from which they then wanted a £50 admin fee when we dropped it off and to deduct money if they felt it was below the standard they expected.

Went to "remove my car" they gave us £350 and collected as is within a couple of days.

    £250 up on their offer.

Perhaps if he were to actually go down to pick his car up as they suggested then maybe he'd get his car back.

Any large business is into abusing their power. WeBuyAnyCar is probably not any different. They will haggle with you, give you an initial high offer then find reasons to cut it down once you have already travelled to their place.

Puzzeles me a bit why people would be on their side. The dealer as dodgier as he might have been was still selling to willing buyers at the current fair market price. Buyer cancelling the deal on shoddy T&C is still abuse of power and a glimpse of how big businesses get a pass in this country.

Not any different than what other dealers do as well though.

If I had a car to sell, I don't think I would go through them anyway. Unless I have 7 days to leave the country.
