The inability to handle things is unrelated to technology. If you can't handle a computer or a smartphone, chances are you'd have difficulty with whatever you need it for, over the phone. My dad at 89 is quite adept; but my mother at 86 hasn't been able to use whatsapp for 3 years now.

Dan Wheatcroft - the leveller series.
The second in the series is a free ebook. So I read that first and then paid for the other two. Quite good but a bit hard to follow.

In the end I used half a dried carolina reaper (chopped), plus a whole dried scotch bonnet (chopped), plus 5 crushed dried birdseye.

I just put a few hundred quid into the stock market every month. The volatility smooths out the longer you hold them. Occasionally I sell the really poorly performing shares and try something else.
In the past 10 years, my returns so far have been equivalent to 7%. I did make some very...

Aw. Bless.
I asked my French boss when I was working in France for a reference. He looked at me.
- Are you a domestic worker?
- No...
- Well, I like you. You write it, I'll sign it.
In France references were only used for domestic workers. Servant....

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn repeatedly urged people living under a corrupt authoritarian regime not to collaborate—especially not by serving as judges, prosecutors, interrogators, or bureaucrats who enable oppression.
Navalny encouraged the same. Btw, I recommend his autobiography. Surprisingly...
