Meeting ended an hour early and the rain had eased, so I decided to take Max out for a walk. About half way round, the rain got heavier and then turned to sleet. Now drying off. Max has his smoking jacket on....

I’ve started investing in stocks — beef, chicken, and vegetable.
One day I hope to be a bouillonaire.

There's a bit of a difference between going fast in the 1970s/80s and what it means 50 years later.
A 1978 Chevette was 0-60 of 15.6 seconds with a top speed of 90mph.
A 2020 Astra 1.4 was 7.8 seconds and an extra 20+ mph....

I found it sometimes got stuck when playing on Safari, I just went for the standard IT solution: close down web page, close Safari, reboot machine. That worked most of the time for me....

If you can't manage that, then go up the night before, in which case I would...

CBS, etc, but 5C when we went out earlier. Has dropped to 2 now. The bits of road that we walk on were quite slippy, but the fields and paths were no longer frozen solid, rather they are at the soft but not churned up stage of muddiness.
Dentist this afternoon - just the...

CBS, -2C out and no breeze, so the walk wasn't too bad. Also, the road is still dry and not icy.

On Autocar/TopGear/etc comments sections there tends to be a series of standard responses when a new car is launched:
1. They all look the same
Then a manufacturer comes out with a different design and the following responses happen:
2. It has a silly name
3. It is made in China...

CBS, -1C earlier. No wind. The road isn't slippery, but once the frost starts to melt, it's going to be fun out there.

Scrambled maps completed (nothing special happened at the end)
£75 interest in the January draw. Better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.
About to venture out for a walk now, and later will be back up a ladder pruning apple trees. Spent 5 hours yesterday...

Replace the vermouth/Lillet Blanc with a good Neufchâtel Absinthe.
My preference is 2 x Green Fairy, 1 x Moskovskaya, 3 x Gordons (at this stage, any dry gin will do)...
