    Morning denizens

It’s a cloudy, windy, rainy morning out there; 5°C “feels like” -7° and with the rain set to continue till lunchtime and the wind carrying on after that, I doubt the 8° we’re promised towards sunset will feel much better. The barometers are also taking a pessimistic view, being down to 971/979mB

I had a rubbish night’s sleep for the most part. Annoyingly, I kept finding myself too hot to sleep but when I finally gave in and got up to take my temperature, the thermometer claimed it was a little below normal if anything. Anyway, I seem to have slept OK for the last few hours before getting up, so I’m hoping the lurgy is mild and will soon pass

A tad stormy overnight, woke up this morning to a bit of a puddle in the utility room, and signs of water ingress by the disused chimney in the ceiling of bedroom 2. Remarkably all the shed/summerhouse roofs remain intact and the greenhouse looks OK too.

Still wet and windy as we went out on the walk, but both have died down now. Meanwhile The Wife went to Pussers bar last night for a painkiller.

        Morning.

        Tuesday apparently.

        Wet.

        Calm.

        Grey.

        Sunless.

Chilly in here at 12.7 deg, 11.5 in the kitchen, 10 in the leanto.

975 mBar, 28.79 in Hg, 731.31 Torr 14.14 psi, (down from 982 last night), 68% RH (Lidl electric).

Stone me it was windy last night. No signs of any damage around here that I've noticed.

Meanwhile on the 13th of March 2020 NF was following Apollo 13 in RealTime(tm), whilst covbob, LM, and LondonManc popped in, whereas I was finishing off the iRoning.

Sun came out: Walk (unabbreviated, towpath) walked in the sunshine. Actually approached warm enough to take scarf off towards the end. .

Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: after yesterday's dry stone walling, today was Highland thatched roofing. With turf and suchlike.

Foyle's War S4 E4. "Casualties of War". The bouncing bomb one. That Lanc was making a funny noise, I thought. Not a lot like 4 merlins.

I need to find something decent to watch on TV. Trying to get into the Agatha Christie remakes on iPlayer but they're a bit pants tbh.

              Ta.

I had a quick look at Lynley but each episode is 90mins long so might have to start early. Nightmanager is a good call and will take a look at the Ridge. Cheers.

Lunch has been a sausage and bacon bap (white)

Still feeling rather out of sorts, but it doesn’t seem to be getting worse

Having considered my position, I’ve determined that I almost certainly don’t need to go shopping this week. It’s not often I plan so far ahead but, upon checking the forecast, I see there’s a chance of sleet on Friday, so that’s another reason not to bother

                    Question of the day:
                    Where is mudskipper 's bridge?

No arty thing this morning due to my coughyness. Spent me time clearing stuff in prepartion for visit to dump on Thursday. How exciting! Not! Darn it, I've got green and black stains on me fingers from handling some old printer cartridges. Won't come off, that stuff.
