Lots of Monkey Life as usual this afternoon, followed by more wildlife stuff which managed to stay off the subject of sharks but did feature more African wild dogs than usual
And this evening I read the penultimate story in Stories of Your Life and Others
I also spent a bit of time going down a rabbit hole about The Seekers, of all things, as a result of some people posting about them on Bluesky
Early night now, ready for more Monkey Life in the morning
After a very special transfer security that made Tunis airport look efficient, we are in the lounge awaiting flight 4. This will be Frankfurt to Munich.
We got through the tensa barrier maze at passport control before our EU passport holding friend could get through the automatic barriers, which was highly entertaining.

Bit of apple tree pruning done yesterday along with dog walks and watching rugby. Now trying to work out how/why LM is going LHR-CDG-TUN-FRA-MUN-
…to get to Sydney. My conclusion is that it is either to save tax, to get points, or one of those “offers” where you get a really good deal on the long haul sector up front by having a connecting flight or two
Rather overcast again out, though the cloud seems on the thin side again. It's 2°C ("feels like" -1°) and aiming for 7° this afternoon. The barometers have turned round and are heading back down, at 1009/1017mB

So the official trip started in TUN, and was a low(er) cost way of getting points towards Miles & More Senator status. The LHR-CDG-TUN positioning was just a more interesting way to get to Tunisia and offered an opportunity for a weekend break on the way back.
