Busy morning, at least by my indolent standards
The lift continues to work, so I got the four chairs and the table legs down to the car. This seemed like about as much as it could comfortably manage, mainly because there's still things like a watering can (plastic) and a toolbox (metal, fold-out) full of assorted spanners in the boot, two of the last things retrieved from my parents' garage. So I headed down to the storage place and got those put away.
Coming back, I got my sack truck for the next bits, starting with the drop-leaf table top which is pretty heavy and chunky. With that down there, I decided I also had room for a coffee table which has spent its entire time here leaning against the wall in an out-of-the-way spot. I may end up taking that to the tip, as it's been clumsily repaired here and there by a previous owner, but I have vague thoughts of sanding it down and fixing it properly one day. And there was room for it in storage, so off it went.
With that lot put away, I was able to head on to Big Sainsbury's. I had thought I wouldn't bother this week as I didn't need much, if anything at all. But the new Viz came out yesterday, and one can always pick up some bits and bobs, so I went anyway
With that lot done, I now have additional space in the living room, so this afternoon, I'll see about getting some more stuff sorted out. I could do with putting those new blinds up for a start, there are some bits like floor-standing fans that can go in the storeroom downstairs until it warms up a bit, and I might finally assemble the bookcase intended for DVDs. Then I can sort out the DVDs, which are mostly stacked against the wall where the bookcase is supposed to go
Anyway, time for lunch before I start fretting over that lot
