    Morning.

    Thursday.

    Dry.

    Sunny.

    Blue sky.

Meanwhile on the 20th of December 2019 LM, NF, xogg, & DaveB were contemplating sending Xmas cards, I wasn't so no surprise there, NF was railing against the Xmas shoppers in Sainsburys, whereas I was doing the washing & shopping in Morrisons, all of us Unaware Of What Was Coming. .

Bedding wash ongoing in the WM.

Bedding wash out of the WM and pegged out on the line, after which I couldn't feel my hands.

Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the sunshine. Quite chilly out there in the shade.

    Lunch: brunch.

Entertainment: last 15 minutes of a Robert Harris interview: no mention of "The 2nd Sleep". .

    The R4 thing at 11:45.

The Bottom Line on 4 day working. <click>

Cottons in off the line & in the TD.

Other cottons in off the line & in the TD.

    Cupful of water this time.

Tea: beans on toast plus boiled eggs. Nice enouigh.

    Entertainment: PM.

"Alien corridors " bollox on Blaze. Ley lines now. Great lakes triangle. Lake Michigan triangle. Hicks Dome.

If there's anything else on this evening I ain't found it though the fright haired Swiss chap is on at 21:00 waffling on endlessly about Roswell. Apparently there's a rock.

    Dementia thing on 5. .

Can you give up the sauce on ITV.

    Roswell nonsense.

    Cathedral thing on 5+1.

        Morning all
Fog/low cloud was a lot thicker this morning, to the point that the ground was wet, and the best way to use my head torch was carrying it at waist level.
Walk has been walked. The sun is burning off the fog.

          Morning all

Cloudy but much less windy than yesterday. The sun is due to make more of an appearance this afternoon. Currently 19 degrees with a high of 21 expected. Barometer up to 1028 mBar.

          Sunrise 08:10; Sunset 18:26

We had a lovely day yesterday; mooched about the town, bought swimming costumes. Then headed back there in the evening for a fantastic dinner.

Have had a couple of interesting approaches on Linkedin which I will be properly following up next week.

            Turning a bit foggy here

I heard the lift going earlier, so an engineer must have been! No idea if they've managed to fix it, mind. Nobody seems to have used it since, but a lot of people use the stairs anyway most of the time, so it isn't unusual to only hear it a couple of times a day.

              Lunch: a Pukka steak slice

The fog has cleared and it's sunny out now

Giving up with the little writing group, just me and other bloke there again.

Bing are retiring the Bing maps API at end of June, was going to do the migration to Azure Maps but it won't have OS maps so no point for us walky people. Still, can do fair amount of stuff with Garmin Basecamp. Another annoying technical thing is a Google update for my Pixel 4a which, according to some comments, renders it practically useless. Darn good thing I had mine in developer mode with updates turned off.

Tea: pork cutlet with chips and beans

This was accompanied by the latest Inside the Factory which revealed the dark magic behind Quavers, along with some interesting side quests to do with Bombay mix, filmed at a local factory over the road from the back of B&Q, and other snack-related topics

Just been watching Glass Onion. Very enjoyable. Seemed quite topical.
                    Not for everyone though.

I’m hoping there’s another one. That lead actor - Daniel Craig - does a great southern drawl. A few more roles for him and he might become well known.

I remember that. I think there was a sequel mooted at some point?

HWMBO and I have had a very nice, relaxing day. Topped off with a lovely dinner at a place over the road from the hotel that looks, on paper, to be a potentially dodgy tourist trap but actually turned out to do delicious food with a great choice of wine.
