Oooo look: LM now has my avatar for her post at 08:47.

So it's updating the avatar to the last post but it's not updating the post number thingie to the post itself.

That's even more fecking odd than most of the other oddness.

Not sure what it's getting up to there, but I'll investigate

The chicken, tomato and lentil soup turned out really well - went down a treat with a thick crust of wholemeal bread

            Morning denizens

Overcast out but getting sunny soon, when there will apparently be a precipitous climb from 10°C now to 23° by teatime

            Barometer fairly steady on 1013/1021mB

              Morning.

              Dry.

              Sunny.

              CBS.

              18.2 deg in here.

              1018 mBar, 30.06 in Hg, 63% RH.

              Monday.

Telex machine is gleaming in the sunshine.

I see the avatar bug seems resolved at the moment.

Walk walked in the blazing unbearable heat.

It's ok in the woods, not so much fun on the street.

              <hiatus>

              Freecell score: 91%, running average: 84% (83.89%).

Tea: more of the roast chicken & sausage, some tinned fruit cocktail, a yog, 0.91 pints of good Glengettie tea.

              Entertainment:

"Discovering Gene Hackman" on Sky Arts.

Some nonsense about Atlantis on Blaze, I'm waiting for the aliens to get involved.

The thing on R4 about the Post Office scandal.

              NCIS S16 E19: "Perennial".

The thing on 5+1 about two people I cordially loathe: The Bitch and King Arthur, a pair well met.

                Morning all

Sunny, blue sky, not a cloud to be seen. Currently 16 degrees and the forecast high is 23. Barometer down to 1022 mBar.

Need to see if the knife sharpening shop is open today. I may just walk up there with my bag of knives anyway.

                Today's Kantar diary fact is:
British cartoon 'Peppa Pig' premiers on Channel 5, 2004

Lunch has been some more of the non-zingy chicken, lentil and tomato soup with wholemeal bread. The flavour's developed very nicely after a night in the fridge

All sunny and that out now, as was foretold
